Located in the NE of the Province of Córdoba 127 miles from Córdoba city, this extensive 30196 acre wetland has unique features due to its richness in ecological resources and biodiversity. Its 19 km coastline on Río Dulce is one worth mentioning. Since May 2002, the estate has been designated as Wetland of International Importance by the The Ramsar Convention (1971) and has one of the richest bird fauna of Argentina. It features 297 different species, among which the pink flamingo stands out and it has the biggest long-distance migratory waterbird reservation in the country. Some 27 species of fish are known to breed in the site as well. The property allows many different activities such as livestock raising (cattle and goats), bird watching tours, agricultural activities, forestation, pastures, growing medicinal and aromatic herbs and nutraceuticals.
