Also, in the 90s, this residence went through a complete restructuration and decoration. Living area is about 700 square meters. The rooms of generous volumes, create different atmospheres, fitted out with exquisite taste, giving off unequalable charm and atmosphere at every moment of the day. Beyond its beauty, the house has uncomparable character, enhanced by the en-suite lounges, library, summer dining room, all facing South, the lake and the impressive panorama of the Alps, the eternally white Mont-Blanc, and, close by, the enchanting view of the lush, colourful garden, inhabited by impressive antique, classic bronze statues. High ceilings, beautiful wood parquets, and also, inspired by the Antique, spectacular many coloured marble floors. Carved wood pannelings adorn the walls, in the manner of the Château de Saint Cloud's Percier et Fontaine's boiseries, and Palladio's ornamental pannelings of the Verona Theather. Framed carved giltwood high mirrors repeat their reflections to infinity. This magnificent decor equals any Palatial elegance.
The Master Suite on the ground floor, offers a large bedroom, facing East-South-East, the Lake and the Alps. A dressing-room, a small library and a splendid bathroom, worthy of a genuine Pompeian water-lounge. Well apart in the Residence the suite favours intimacy and silence. On the upper floor, the house offers four guest rooms and three bathrooms, all of them opening on the garden and the Lake. A suite of two rooms and a bathroom, and yet another room, are currently fitted with cupboards, but can easily be converted into guest or children's rooms. The large loft, covering the whole surface area of the house, is ready to be fitted out for any use one may want.
A loggia on the garden level opens to the swimming pool. Two cabins, a shower, a toilet and a Sauna, deep cupboards round off the pool amenities. The heated swimming pool is equiped with a counter-current swimming system. On the ground floor the lounge opens to a terrace protected by a canopy. Facing the lake above the swimming pool, this terrace can be used as a dining room, protected from the summer showers, as it is covered by the large canopy.
A small, independant villa accomodates the staff. About 150 square meters on two levels above a cellar it has a confortable lounge, a spacious kitchen, three bedrooms, one bathroom, two toilets. A mushroom bed, by the wine cellar, allows to date the original construction to the XVIIIth century.
The park is properly a magic garden. Graced with centuries-old trees, hundreds of roses enchant with bewitching fragrances. All kinds of flowers have been planted, so as to ensure flowering from the last day of February, up to Christmas. There are Japonica, abundant Cherry trees, favoured by many singing birds. A small vegetable garden keeps the kitchen well supplied with herbs, salads and such.
Sheltered from noise, dedicated to Art and Gracious Living, it is a grand place for brilliant parties and receptions, yet also ideal for proper peace and harmony. On the lake, a cemented jetty allows swimming out in fresh water, never polluted by any inorganic waste. A buoy may be reinstalled to moor a sailing boat with a 1m30 draft. Swans, wild ducks, cormorans, herons, teals and gulls are constant visitors.
The outbuildings harbour a lockup garage for a large car, a covered car port for two cars and 3-4 parking spaces in the outer courtyard.
