Planted in 2001 and 2002 and managed by Coastal Vineyard Care, the vineyard is part of the recently established "Happy Canyon of Santa Barbara" American viticultural area and has nine acres of Syrah; three acres of Sangiovese; one acre of Sauvignon Blanc; and 13 acres of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, and Malbec vines. Annually, these fields are capable of producing more than 3,000 cases of wine. Sold to other wineries, Syrah from the vineyard has scored solidly in the 90s with Robert Parker of The Wine Advocate. The winery compound is run by a well-known and experienced wine maker and provides a temperature-controlled barrel room, a laboratory, a tank room, and an exterior crush pad, all in the same elegant style as the residences
