ng bedrooms and a central lounge.
An elegant homestead tastefully presented, Mona is fully renovated with three double bedrooms. It provides a wonderful relaxed home for a family as well as the sophistication of formal living with lounge, dining and study, all with open fires for the colder winter months. The homestead is finished with soft bright colours, timber feature floors and large areas of floor-to-ceiling windows, giving a wonderful indoor/outdoor effect. 20 acres of stunning gardens surround the home and ensure that the four main out-buildings are screened from each other and the homestead.
The homestead is set amidst formal gardens, rolling lawns and mature deciduous trees which provide a glorious outlook from every window of varying levels of the grounds, and pathways winding between the lawns and gardens, with great lines of site and enticing vistas beyond. Beautiful finials sit on the feature curved wall between the upper and lower lawns whilst the walled garden has arched gateways leading to micro-gardens each with special plantings and sculptures, and the inevitable croquet lawn!
Masses of spring jonquils are followed by a carpet of blue bells and a spectacular rhododendron display. Mona's garden excellence was awarded the Belle Magazine/Range Rover Garden Design of the Year Award in 2003.
Surrounding the 20 acres of garden is 100 acres of parkland, with a 1km driveway lined with a double row of Lindens and over 4,000 trees including Plane, Beech, evergreen and Pinoaks, and a Cypress forest.
The five arch stone Palladian bridge spanning Mona's picturesque lake leads from the homestead, the Stables and Coachhouse accommodation to the original Mona wool shed which today is a thriving function centre - a favoured venue for wedding receptions or even small corporate conferences.
The Stables and Coachhouse provide complete self contained accommodation and facilities with their six king bedrooms.
