Sugarloaf Country Club is a guard-gated community of single-family estate homes, located just north of Atlanta in Gwinnett County. The development encompasses more than 1,200 acres of gently rolling hills, towering centuries-old trees, and three picturesque lakes. Planned for approximately 1,000 homes, Sugarloaf Country Club was designed with family living in mind. The community features recreational parks and a series of pedestrian trails that wind throughout the neighborhood.
Homes at Sugarloaf Country Club are constructed by a team of independent builders in accordance with the community’s architectural and landscape guidelines. The Featured Builder Program provides two options: builders create homes for sale on lots they own, or a buyer may select a property and choose from among Sugarloaf's featured builders before beginning construction.
The 60,000-square-foot clubhouse resembles a large estate house—a standing tribute to classic 19th-Century Southern architecture. The ornately furnished venue overlooks the three lakes at Sugarloaf, and a sweeping terrace provides a perfect view of the 18th hole. Amenities include fine and casual dining rooms and lounges and a fully stocked golf pro shop, as well as comfortable men's and women's locker rooms.
At the heart of Sugarloaf Country Club is the 27-hole championship golf course, designed by golf legend Greg Norman. The golf course and sports complex at Sugarloaf is a PGA Tour–owned Tournament Players Club (TPC), one of only 24 in the United States. Nationally acclaimed by PGA Tour professionals, TPC Sugarloaf has also been recognized by various industry publications and associations as one of the best golf facilities in the nation. Although the course is championship-caliber, it is also enjoyable for the novice. Through changing tee placements and multiple teeing areas, members have a constantly challenging and interesting golfing experience.
Amid towering pines and shady oaks sits The Horse Show Barn, which was renovated in 1998 to serve as the community's Family Sports Center. The seven-acre complex includes exercise and cardio facilities as well as activity areas for children, with a mini-movie theater, an arcade, and child care facilities for members. An activity director and related sports professionals staff the Family Sports Center year-round. The Family Sports Complex includes three swimming pools, as well as six clay and eight hard tennis courts. A covered pavilion and spectator bleachers allow for courtside viewing.
Four different TPC Sugarloaf membership plans are available for country club property owners: Charter Full, Sports, Swim and Tennis, and Social. While there are a limited number of Charter Full memberships, Sports memberships are unlimited. These varied membership plans allow for many different levels of access to facilities and amenities, depending on owners' needs and desires
