The Cap Cana community affords its residents the kind of first-class amenities that define luxury living. In addition to full 24-hour security, the community will offer comprehensive concierge services, a renowned international medical facility, the Cap Cana Heritage School, the largest spa in the Caribbean, an ecological reserve park, and heliport parking among its many attractions. Situated in the easternmost part of the country and only 10 minutes from the Punta Casa International Airport, Cap Cana has all the necessary elements to be the luxury destination of the region: climate, Caribbean charm, the possibility of owning a property facing the beach, exceptional golf, and impeccable resort facilities.
Cap Cana represents the most important tourism and real estate project in the Caribbean. This spectacular community is being developed in a series of stages over the next 10 to 15 years, with the first stage comprising an area of approximately 8,680 acres out of a total of around 30,000 acres. The final result will feature such impressive amenities as 5,000 residential units, three five-star hotels, five golf courses—three of which will be Jack Nicklaus Signature courses—a state-of-the-art marina, and the Caletón Beach Club.
Cap Cana's marina is the pillar of the project, designed to be the most important marina in the Caribbean and featuring a Grand Canal surrounded by luxury stores, exclusive restaurants, and five-star hotels. The Jack Nicklaus-designed Punta Espada Golf Course, inaugurated in November 2006, ranks among the best in the Caribbean. Set close to the beach, the Caletón Beach Club offers an ample reception lobby, tropical gardens, a restaurant, a spa, and a terraced pool area among its facilities. The first of the Altabella Hotels, the Sanctuary Cap Cana Golf & Spa is scheduled to open in winter 2007 and will include 167 deluxe suites, a convention center, and eight restaurants and bars among its highlights. The Altabella Fishing Lodge, another five-star hotel, is also being built, and will offer a more informal style reflecting its location at the Marina. The project also boasts a variety of real estate options including golf and beach lots, the Trump Farallon Estates, condominiums in the Marina, and golf and beach villas. Recently Ritz Carlton signed on to Cap Cana a 200-room resort and 194 residence. SotoGrande at CapCana will also be launched at the end of 2007.
