Water Sports Enthusiasts Find Central Florida’s Butler Chain Of Lakes Area’s Most Desirable Ski Lake
 Orlando, Florida – Of the hundreds of lakes in Central Florida, the Butler Chain of Lakes reigns supreme for waterskiing and wakeboarding. Spanning 4,720 acres, the interconnected system of 11 lakes boasts crystal clear waters, a soft sandy bottom and a smooth surface with a few well-placed slalom courses. As the waterskiing and wakeboarding lifestyle explode in popularity, the demand for lakefront property on Central Florida’s most ski-friendly lake system grows, too. Many factors make the Butler Chain of Lakes the premier lake system in the area for water sports enthusiasts. Because the Butler Chain offers just one public access point, it is less congested than other lake systems, making it easy to find an isolated area.
Most of the Butler Chain’s shoreline is fronted by private residences and luxury gated communities, including Isleworth Golf & Country Club. The 600-acre private golf club community in southwest Orlando borders more than seven miles of the Butler Chain’s shoreline, and nearly one third of its homes sit on lakefront lots. But even if an Isleworth resident doesn’t own a waterfront lot, they still enjoy access to the Butler Chain of Lakes, thanks to the community’s concierge program. “Our concierge program will prepare their boat and water sports equipment for them at Isleworth’s own dock, eliminating the need to trailer their boat and drive to a lake with public access,” said Dianne Duvall, Isleworth Realty’s water ski real estate specialist and mother of Water Ski Hall of Famers Sammy and Camille Duvall. While the Butler Chain is uncrowded, it isn’t so rural that it’s teeming with wildlife. Yet it’s environmentally protected with berms and swells that dot its banks to prevent fertilizer run-off into its pristine waters. The system of canals connecting the Butler Chain’s 11 lakes is also one of the easiest to navigate in the region because of its roomier channels. The Butler Chain of Lakes offers a more diverse ski experience compared with smaller private ski lakes, says Julie Bettosini, a former competitive water skier and water ski real estate specialist for Stockworth Realty Group.
The large open waters of the Butler Chain lead to more secluded pockets, which resemble some of Central Florida’s best private ski lakes.
